The Comfiest

Comfy

As I’ve said many times, I’m so excited for fall to get here! I do love summer, but the time of year where yoga pants, sweatshirts, and sneakers replace running shorts and flip flops is one that I really look forward to. Add tea, a good book, a couch, and a blanket and it’s the perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.

While comfy pants have been a favorite of mine for quite some time, I recently discovered the joy of wearing vests. I may have been a little late to the game (and not worn one since I was a small child) but being able to throw one of these on over a simple long sleeve shirt is going to be a blessing in D.C. this fall/winter! Keds are another major flashback…I just bought myself a pair (note: I’m a loyal Nordstrom shopper but they were out of my size and I discovered that Amazon has an unbeatable price on these) and can’t wait to get more use out of them in the coming months. Simple yet so comfortable definitely makes them the best of both worlds. My go-to yoga pants lately have been American Apparel ones that we got through my sorority, and I’ve been wearing a black fleece Patagonia vest over old Gap and Target crewnecks. And v-neck/scoopneck t-shirts, of course…

When it comes to jewelry, I’m a big advocate of wearing at least a little bit regardless of what your loungy attire may be. Personally, pearl earrings are the perfect addition for me and automatically  make me feel a tad more put together than I would otherwise. What are your favorite brands/outfits for a lazy day? Do share!
