There is no better way to describe my current location than a tundra. With sub-zero temperatures the past few days, I can’t wait to make lots more tea and try and stay indoors as much as possible. Our gym was even closed today due to a pipe freezing and bursting, and our front porch is slick with about three inches of solid ice. Luckily, our apartment has had some pick-me- ups, thanks to a variety of baked goods from our neighbors and of course, ourselves. One of my roommates made these delicious chocolate cupcakes earlier in the week. They taste like a hybrid between cupcakes and muffins, which makes them even more acceptable to eat as part of a meal rather than as dessert. I insisted on frosting them and did so with store-bought frosting and topped with raspberries, they turned out great!
